A family with four kids lost their home to a devastating house fire. They contacted Maine Passive House to rebuild a new passive house in the footprint of the old home. The walkout basement functions as a rec room for the family, while the main floor has an open concept kitchen, dining and living area. The second floor has five bedrooms and one bathroom. A large porch and deck off the first floor has beautiful views of the orchard and the surrounding mountains. The first floor also has direct access to a large two car garage.
