Design Maine Passive House
Originally built by our Founder and his wife in 2000, the couple decided to do a “one wall per year” Deep Energy Retrofit, when the original wooden windows needed replacement.
The siding was removed, an airtight membrane, Larson Trusses and new triple pane windows were added. Additional insulation was added to the roof and it was airsealed. A series of Lunos ERV units provide fresh, filtered air to the home.
The last two walls were rolled into a one year project as living in a semi annual construction zone eventually caught up with everyone.
